What to expect in our work together

A space to let the noise settle.

Most of the adults I work with arrive with a mind that is already moving too fast. There's usually something specific that brought them here. A pattern they keep seeing. A reaction they didn't plan. A conversation that went sideways again.

Sessions don't feel like being analyzed. They feel more like slowing down enough to actually look at something together. I'm not tracking your history. I'm listening for what your mind is doing right now.

How we work

Our sessions are a quiet, steady space to look at what is actually happening in your life right now. We slow things down enough to notice what your mind is doing in real time, without pushing for intensity or forcing insight before it's actually available.

At first, we simply look together at the things that are weighing on you. Sometimes that includes a reaction you regret, a conversation that went sideways, or a moment you wish you had handled differently. Part of the work is learning that you can face what you did without becoming what you did. I listen for the patterns that run in the background: the urgency, the self-criticism, the places where the mind tends to lock up.

My role isn't to analyze you or tell you what to do. It's to help you see what your own mind is doing while it's doing it. We practice catching the moment your thoughts speed up, so you can see them as stories rather than commands.

That shift happens in the conversation. The impact carries into your daily life.

Between sessions

The work doesn't stop when the call ends. You'll start to notice the "tightening" in real time. Before you respond to an email. In the middle of a difficult conversation.

These shifts are small at first. You might just notice the pressure for a second before you react. But over time, those seconds of awareness add up. You find a bit more ground beneath your feet. And you start to realize you have a choice.

You can get a feel for the work by talking once

If this sounds like the kind of space you’ve been looking for, we can start there. A short conversation is often the simplest way to see whether working together feels clear, steady, and useful.

Sessions are online, private, and secure. I'm based in Northampton, MA, and work with clients across the US and beyond.
It's simple to start from anywhere.
